Poultry School 2015
Raising pastured birds for health, flavor, and soil resilience
March 28 & 29 at Stone Barns Center for Food and Agriculture
630 Bedford Rd, Pocantico Hills, NY
Poultry school is a 2-day intensive of classroom and hands-on workshops, guest speakers, and forums to explore current issues, methods and technologies in caring for poultry. With support from APPPA, Stone Barns Center’s Growing Farmers Initiative is bringing together leading experts in raising, caring for, and processing pastured poultry. Workshop tracks are designed to appeal to both larger-scale pastured poultry farmers, as well as homesteaders and small-scale, and urban farmers.
The program includes open forums in which attendees can explore discussion groups mediated by experienced educators on an array of topics.
Registration is not yet open, but more information will be available at http://www.virtualgrange.org. Sign up for APPPA Director Mike Badger's email list for the latest information about this workshop, pastured poultry, APPPA, and much more.
