Jean Finney and Eileen Kelly from Farm Hounds will join APPPA Live to share their experiences and stories as a buyer of wholesale pastured poultry parts and products for their natural dog treat company. They will share how they work with their pastured poultry farmers, discuss what kinds of volume they need, and generally provide an overview of what farmers need to know when supplying a wholesale business, such as Farm Hounds.

You will have an opportunity to ask questions during the live program.

You must register to receive the link to watch on Wednesday evening.

As a pastured poultry marketer/producer, you often hear the term "value-added" products. The idea is simple enough. If you can find ways to provide value to your customers that goes beyond a whole chicken or turkey, then you can potentially increase your profit. Boneless, skinless chicken breasts or ground turkey are two common examples.

In this session, we're going to build a case study on how Farm Hounds helps pastured poultry farmers, including several APPPA members, add value to their existing production by buying parts that can be difficult to sell in other markets.

Farm Hounds is a natural dog treat company based out of Atlanta, Georgia. They have a growing brand, and source a range of parts, including feet, organs, heads, gizzards, and whole birds. They actively seek new suppliers to work with.

Join us and see the possibilities.
